结构与用途

熔断器的结构一般分成熔体座和熔体等部分。熔断器是串联连接在被保护电路中的,当电路电流超过一定值时,熔体因发热而熔断,使电路被切断,从而起到保护作用。熔体的热量与通过熔体电流的平方及持续通电时间成正比,当电路短路时,电流很大,熔体急剧升温,立即熔断,当电路中电流值等于熔体额定电流时,熔体不会熔断。所以熔断器可用于短路保护。由于熔体在用电设备过载时所通过的过载电流能积累热量,当用电设备连续过载一定时间后熔体积累的热量也能使其熔断,所以熔断器也可作过载保护。
